Al-Fateh SC is a Saudi football club based in Al-Mubarraz, in Al-Ahsa Governorate, founded in 1958. Saudi champions in 2012-13, they remain one of the few clubs from outside the three big cities to have won the title.

The 2013 title, an exception in the league
Al-Fateh were crowned Saudi champions in the 2012-13 season. It is their only national title, and it carries particular weight: since the league began, almost every championship has been shared between the clubs of Riyadh and Jeddah.
That success took them into the first edition of the Saudi Super Cup, which they won in 2013.
Two continental campaigns
The 2013 title led the club into the group stage of the AFC Champions League in 2014, and again in 2017. They had also taken part in the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2012-13.
Those campaigns remain the only continental appearances in their history, which makes them reference points for supporters.
An oasis club
Al-Ahsa is the largest oasis in the world, planted with several million palm trees, which explains the club’s nickname, sons of the palm. Al-Mubarraz is one of its two main towns.
The club plays in a ground holding a little under twelve thousand, at a distance from the major centres of Saudi football. They also won the second division title three times, in 1982-83, 1996-97 and 1998-99, before settling in the top flight.
