Abha Club is a Saudi football club based in Abha, in Asir Province. They won the Saudi First Division League in 2025-26 and play in the Saudi Pro League from the 2026-27 season, which kicks off on 13 August 2026.

Promotion to the Saudi Pro League, sealed on 21 April 2026

Abha were the first of the three promoted clubs to secure their place in the top flight, on 21 April 2026, a month before the end of the season. They return to the Saudi Pro League after a two-season absence, following relegation in 2024.

This is their fourth promotion to the top flight. The previous three came in 2005, 2008 and 2018-19, the last one alongside their first second tier title.

The other two promoted clubs for 2026-27 are Al-Faisaly, who finished second, and Al-Diriyah, who won the play-offs. They replace Damac, Al-Okhdood and Al-Najma, relegated at the end of the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League season.

Abha went top on matchday 9 and stayed there until matchday 34. Dutch forward Sylla Sow finished as joint top scorer in the division with 27 goals, level with Al-Orobah’s Simy, in a count updated to 14 May 2026.

The title is the club’s third in the second tier, after 1971-72 and 2018-19.

The 2026-27 campaign is the 70th season of the Saudi top flight. It runs from 13 August 2026 to 29 May 2027, with a break from 24 December to 7 February while the kingdom hosts the AFC Asian Cup. Al-Nassr are the reigning champions.
